NÖN: A Beautiful Voice of Jazz

Jazz and Painting / Visitors to the mill were enthralled by a fabulous concert by the band “Together” with equally brilliant singer Simone Kopmajer and nude paintings by Kati Pregartner:

Gaweinstal / Two extraordinarily talented young women and an excellent Jazz band enthralled their audience last Saturday at Gaweinstal Mill. Simone Kopmajer and the band “Together” celebrated beautiful Jazz standards that were once interpreted by Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong or Frank Sinatra. During songs like “I’ve got you under my Skin”, “Love”, “Route 66”, “Goodie, Goodie”, “Cheek to Cheek” or “Stompin’ at the savoy” the young singer from Bad Aussee, who is said to be Austria’s most gifted Jazz singer and the first woman to have won the reknowned Hans Koller Award, demonstrated all shades of her great voice. “Together” are from Stammersdorf. The band frequently accompanies international Jazz stars during their performances in Austria.

The concert in the romantic mill was framed by Kati Pregartner’s acrylic paintings. The young artist has been painting for three years now and exhibits exeptional nudes that show only parts of the body, often inspired by angles the own head reveals towards the body.
